MIDDLEBURY - Freeman T. Lambright, 86, of Middlebury, died Monday, Feb. 8.
He was born May 11, 1929, to Tobias J. and Elizabeth Lambright.
He married Susan Bontrager. Also surviving are daughters Loretta Lambright, Kathryn (Dale) Hochstetler and Norma (Andrew) Yoder; sons Omer (Elmina), Vernon (Erma), Joe (Linda), Gerald (Joyce), Earl (Susan), Freeman Jr. (Rose), Howard (Ruth) and Dennis (Rosetta) Lambright; 63 grandchildren; 70 great-grandchildren; sister Viola Miller; brother-in-law Eli Miller; sisters-in-law Ada Lambright and Anna Lambright; and brother Harley T. Lambright.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, five brothers and two sisters.
He was a retired farmer and worked at Jayco 10 years.
Visitation will be all day Wednesday at the family residence, 11716 C.R. 20, Middlebury. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Mike Stoltzfus residence, 11851 C.R. 20, Middlebury. Bishop Robert Mullet will officiate. Burial will be in Bontrager Cemetery.

TOPEKA - Harley T. Lambright, 85, of Topeka, died Friday, June 24.
He was born March 28, 1931, in LaGrange County, to Tobe and Lizzie (Troyer) Lambright.
He married Esther Miller. She died May 15, 1987. He later married Ida Miller; she survives.
Survivors also are three daughters, Sadie (Orla) Bontrager, Lydia Sue (Freeman) Yoder, Mary (Willis) Yoder; seven sons, Clayton, Leland, Glenn, David, Stephen, Vernon Lambright and Harley Jr. Lambright; 78 grandchildren; 121 great-grandchildren; and sister Viola (John) Miller.
He was preceded in death by his first wife; parents; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and six brothers.
Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Saturday, June 25, and all day Sunday, June 26, at the family’s residence, 6375 W. 200 S., Topeka. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday, June 27, also at the family’s residence. Burial will be in Yoder Cemetery.

OAKLAND, Calif. - Virginia Ann “Ginny” Lambright, 80, died Tuesday, June 14, following a battle with vascular dementia.
Ginny was born Dec. 15, 1935, in Goshen, to Schuyler and Mary (Fisher) Pletcher.
After graduating from Topeka High School as valedictorian in 1954, she attended Goshen College where she was a member and officer of the A Cappella Chorus, the Education Club, and Home Economics Club. She taught home economics at Goshen High School from 1958 to 1963 and served as a substitute teacher in the Goshen Community School system for many years.
On June 25, 1960, she married James Lambright at Eighth Street Mennonite Church, Goshen. They resided in Goshen for more than 30 years, before moving to a lakefront home in Syracuse in 1992 where she continued to reside after Jim’s death in 2012. She later made her home in Surprise, Ariz., her primary residence. In 2015, when she could no longer live independently, she moved into a memory care apartment in Oakland, close to where her children, Stephen Lambright and Gina Lambright reside.
Ginny was a member of the Eighth Street Mennonite Church in Goshen and a regular member of the choir for many years. When Ginny and Jim moved to Syracuse, they became members of the St. Andrews United Methodist Church where Ginny continued to sing in the choir.
She was an active partner in the family business, Lamson Inc., managing the design, development, and sale of investment properties. Always an active member of her community, Ginny was probably most proud of her work on the Syracuse Park Board, where she helped to lead the effort to build the Syracuse Community Center in 2002.
Her passions were many, but she found her greatest joy in playing her favorite songs on her piano, cooking fabulous meals for her friends and family, running, and water skiing around Syracuse Lake which she continued to do until the age of 77. She also loved playing with her grandchildren, traveling around the world and off-roading through the desert landscapes of Arizona with Jim.
Virginia is survived by her son, Stephen (Vanessa) Lambright of San Francisco; and daughter Gina (John Cheney) Lambright of Piedmont; grandchildren Edan Lambright, Lucas and Bryson Cheney; two sisters, Donna (John) Messer and Karen Honderich; sisters-in-law Janet (Dale) Kanagy, Eloise Sommers, and Wanda (Martin) Brotherton; brothers in-law Richard (Ruthie) Lambright, Robert (Shirley) Lambright, and Vernon (Beth) Lambright; and 22 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, James Lambright, her parents, and brothers-in-law, Myron Sommers, David Honderich, and Richard Martin.
A celebration of life is scheduled for July 2. Friends may call from noon until the 1:30 p.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Violett Cemetery.

She was a member of Mellinger Mennonite Church, Lancaster where she had participated with the sewing circle.
Anna had a very strong work ethic and had been employed by the former Martin's Butcher Shop, stood at several local market stands, and lastly had been employed by Witmer's IGA in the deli department.
She thoroughly enjoyed her family and friends and is survived by 3 nephews, Carl E. Hoover, Robert L. Hoover, Walter Bowman; a niece Arlene Woods; and extended families.
The family would like to thank both the staff at Landis Homes and Hospice & Community Care for the support and comfort extended to Anna.
Funeral services will be held at Landis Home, East Bethany Chapel, 1001 East Oregon Road, Lititz, PA on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 2:00PM. Interment will follow in Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the East Chapel from 1:00PM until the time of service. She was born February, 4, 1923 at Souderton to John M. and Sallie H. (Halteman) Landis. John was born June 7, 1900 and died March 28, 1984. Sallie was born September 26, 1902 and died September 30, 2000.
Surviving are a brother, Henry H. Landis and wife Catherine; and a sister, Verna L. Delp and husband Harley.
A brother, Paul H. Landis preceded her in death.

Landis, Henry F., 90, of Telford, PA died December 31, 2016. He was born September 2, 1926 at Lower Salford Township to Henry M. and Katie (Frederick) Landis. On March 28, 1948 he was married to Doris M. Halteman, who was born March 23, 1928 and survives.
Surviving are children, Larry & Beverly Landis and Glen & Laureen Landis; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Marion James (Robert), and Beulah Haffley.
Two brothers, Ellis Landis and Paul Landis preceded him in death.
Memorial services were held January 4, 2017 at Blooming Glen Mennonite Church, Blooming Glen, PA with burial in the adjoining cemetery.
Dale farmed the family farm in Manheim Township until the age of 50. He also worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a rural mail carrier in the Lititz area for many years. He enjoyed his real estate job, specializing in selling farms throughout the counties of central Pennsylvania. He was also employed at Fulton Bank as a bank courier until age 87. He was a member of Word of Life Mennonite Fellowship, Lititz, where he was known as the candy man because he faithfully shared candy to all the children. Dale enjoyed visiting and talking with everyone he met. He had a generous heart, and enjoyed giving to church and charities.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Erma, are four daughters: Jean wife of Wally Yordy of Ashley, MI., Josie Swartzentruber of Mt. Vernon, OH., Jackie wife of Carl Sands of Lititz, Janice wife of Floyd Martin, of Womelsdorf; a son, J. Dale Jr., husband of Catherine Landis of Ephrata; a son-in-law, Dwight Herr of Manheim; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Rachel Stahl of Lititz. Preceding him in death is a daughter, Joyce Herr, a son-in-law, Earl Swartzentruber, Jr., a great-granddaughter, Naomi Breitzman, and two sisters Lois Miller, and Faith Landis.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Dale's funeral service at the Millport Mennonite Church, 820 Log Cabin Road, Leola, on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 10:30 AM. There will be a viewing at the Landis Homes WEST BETHANY CHAPEL, 1001 East Oregon Road, Lititz, on Friday, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. There will be additional viewing at the Millport Mennonite Church on Saturday morning from 9:30 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.

JD is survived by his parents Elvin and Dorothy Landis; wife Mary Kathryn; sons Jeff, Jerry, and Jon; siblings Carolyn, Jay, Ed, Deb, and Kay and nine grandchildren.
JD was born in Lancaster, PA. He graduated from Lancaster Mennonite High School in 1965.
He and his high school sweetheart Mary K. moved to Mobile, AL in 1967 for church ministry. He graduated from Mobile College in 1978. JD was an ordained minister that served the Mobile community and beyond for over 49 years. He was a wonderful husband, father, mentor, and friend. He dedicated his life to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. And sometimes he used words.
Choice Books, We Care, MDS, Good News Fellowship, and Way of Life Community church are just a few of the ministries JD influenced on the Gulf Coast.
A celebration of life service will be held at Grace Fellowship (1412 E Nashville Ave, Atmore, AL) on Saturday, October 29th at 3 PM.

GOSHEN - June Marie Landis, 84, of Goshen, passed away Friday, Jan. 15, at the Maples at Waterford Crossing.
She was born June 6, 1931, in Perkasie, Pa., to William H. and Irene (Kulp) Moyer. On May 2, 1953, she married Jacob C. Landis in Blooming Glen, Pa.
He survives along with sons Geoffrey W. (Elizabeth Gunden) Landis of Goshen and Douglas A. (Joy) Landis of Mason, Mich.; and grandchildren Andrew Landis, Allison (Kevin) Revels and Jonathan Landis.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Orville Moyer.
She attended Goshen College and worked as an assistant in an elementary school library for 14 years. Mrs. Landis moved to Goshen in 2003, coming from North Carolina. She and Jake enjoyed winters in Naples, Fla.
A lifelong talented singer, she was a soloist with church and community choirs. June cherished her family, planning and hosting many gatherings. An avid reader and athlete, she also enjoyed needlework and gardening.
Cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory and services will take place later.
Memorials may be given to College Mennonite Church or Goshen College Music Department.

GOSHEN - Esther R. Lantz, 76, passed away the evening of Feb. 1 surrounded by her family at Greencroft Healthcare into the loving arms of Jesus.
She was born Dec. 19, 1939, in Walnut Creek, Ohio to Albert and Katie (Miller) Kuhns.
On June 29, 1958 she married Glendon "Glen" E. Lantz at North Goshen Mennonite Church, Goshen.
He survives along with two sons, Rodney (JoLisa) Lantz of Shipshewana and James (Jodie) Lantz of Benton; a daughter, Krista (Boyd) Smith of Goshen; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Ernie (Diane) Cross of Wawaka, Howard (Jean) Cross of Nappanee and Edward Kuhns of Anchorage, Alaska.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-father, William G. Cross, and four brothers, Daniel, Billy Cross Jr., Reuben and Roy Kuhns.
Mrs. Lantz was a very active and involved member of Grace Community Church since 1959. She also was a homemaker and beautician. Her greatest love was for her family.
Visitation will be Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and one hour prior to the 10:30 a.m. Friday funeral service at Grace Community Church, 20076 C.R. 36, Goshen. Pastor Jim Brown will officiate.
Burial will follow at Miller 8 Square Cemetery, Goshen.

She was committed to serving other and in the interest of science and research, she donated her body to the University of Indiana.

Born on July 7, 1936, in Ephrata, she was the daughter of the late Moses W. and Mary Elizabeth (Hursh) Martin. She was a member of the Centerville Mennonite Church, Martindale, PA. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening and was a faithful friend to many.

Lederach, Mary Kathryn Slagell, 92, of Lansdale, PA died December 17, 2016. She was born December 1, 1924 at Hydro, Oklahoma to Joseph and Emma (Schantz) Slagell. On September 6, 1952 he was married to Paul M. Lederach, who is deceased.
Surviving are children, John & Judith Styer, James & Louise Lederach, Randall & Deborah Gunden, and Rebecca Lederach; and eight grandchildren.

The final door opened for Dr. Elton D. Lehman, D.O., 81, of Mount Eaton, when he passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at his home.
He was born near Kidron on August 19, 1935 to the late Sylvester A. and Martha (Bixler) Lehman and married Phyllis A. Schloneger on June 15, 1963. She survives.
He was a graduate of Eastern Mennonite High School and Eastern Mennonite University and earned his DO degree in 1963 from Midwest University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. Following an internship at the former Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital, he practiced family medicine in Mount Eaton from 1964 to 2004. He served on the staff at the former Doctors Hospital from 1964 – 2004 and on its board of trustees. He served as the medical director of Country Lawn Nursing Home for many years and had previously served as a Deputy Coroner for Wayne County.
Dr. Lehman was instrumental in the founding of the first free standing birthing center in the area known as the Mount Eaton Care Center. He served on its board of directors and as its medical director for many years.
He authored and co-authored numerous articles and books related to his rural medical practice in Amish country.
In 1998, Dr. Lehman was recognized as the Country Doctor of the Year by Staff Care, Inc.
He also served on the board for the Wayne County Health Department, William McKinley Mental Health Society, Association of Birth Centers of Ohio, Mental Health and Recovery Board of Wayne and Holmes Counties, Austin Bailey Foundation and the Lighthouse of Hope.
He had served as a councilman for the Village of Mount Eaton from 1973-1984 and as mayor from 1984-1999. He was a charter member and former president of the Mount Eaton-Paint Township Historical Society.
He was a member of the Kidron Mennonite Church and served on numerous short term medical mission trips. He also served as a volunteer at the Viola Startzman Free Clinic.
In addition to wife, Phyllis, he is survived by children, Brenda (the late Dr. John) Benner, Dr. Brent (Claudia) Lehman and Beverly Lehman; grandsons, Andre, Adrien and Aaron Lehman; sisters, Florine (Lester) Yoder, Doris (Dan) Cartwright, Ruth (Roy) Bontrager, Janelle (Gerald) Gould, Carol (Edward) Burkholder, Geraldine (the late Gerald) Mumaw and Elizabeth (David) Wiebe; brothers, Merlin (the late Janet), Larry Lehman and Donald (Ruth) Lehman; and a sister-in-law, Arlene Lehman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son-in-law, John Benner; and brother, David Lehman.
Through his passion for medicine and his love of others, Dr. Lehman has donated his body to the Ohio University Medical College. A service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM at the Kidron Mennonite Church, 3987 Kidron Road, Kidron. Friends may call on Friday from 1-3 and 6-8 PM at the church or on Saturday from 9-10:30 AM prior to the service. Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton is assisting the family with arrangements.

Lehman, Florence L. Zehr, 84, of Lowville, NY died December 28, 2016 at New Bremen, Lewis Co., NY. She was born December 11, 1932 at Croghan, Lewis Co., NY to David H. and Veronica (Widrick) Zehr. On November 2, 1950 at Lowville Mennonite Church she was married to Daniel S. Lehman, who is deceased.
Surviving are children, Sheryl and John Nespor of San Diego, CA; Sue and Kevin Roggie of Lowville; Perry Lehman of Lowville; Cindy and David Lapp of New Bremen; and Mark and Dixie Lehman of Lowville; ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Sherwood and Linda Zehr of Black River; Estella Yancey of Florida; Rachael Widrick of Lowville; sisters-in-law, Geraldine Zehr of Castorland; and Janet Zehr of Croghan.
On November 2, 1950, Florence married Daniel S. Lehman at Lowville Mennonite Church, with Rev. Lloyd Boshart officiating. Together with her husband they owned and operated a third-generation dairy farm on the Snell Road from 1961 until retiring in 1995, when they sold the farm to their son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Dixie Lehman. During their time of operation, they were awarded the Lewis County Conservation District's Farmer of the Year honors in 1976.
She is predeceased by her husband, Daniel Lehman; three brothers, Gilbert Zehr, Clifford Zehr, and Henry and his wife Mable Zehr; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Rosella and Walter Thompson, Grace and Elmer Steria, and Eleanor Zehr, who passed away in infancy; a sister-in-law Joan Zehr; and brothers in law, Clyde Yancey and Sherwood Widrick.
Mrs. Lehman was a member of the Lowville Mennonite Church. She was also a faithful participant of Lowville Mennonite Sewing Circle and a dedicated caregiver at Brookside Senior Living Community. She enjoyed sewing, counted cross stitch, gardening, cooking and baking, and most of all, helping others. She lived a life of true service and touched countless lives.
Memorial services were held January 3, 2017 at Lowville Mennonite Church, Lowville, NY with burial in Croghan Mennonite Cemetery, Croghan, NY.

Lehman, Gladys E. Shetter, 93, passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Menno Haven Nursing Center, Chambersburg, PA. She was born on December 15, 1922 in Chambersburg, Pa. She was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Margaret (Davis) Shetter.
She was a member of the Marion Mennonite Church. She taught Sunday School for many years and was involved with the Franklin County Sunday School Association held at Caledonia State Park during the summer months. She and her husband enjoyed traveling to Jamaica. She was a homemaker most of her life, and was also employed by H. J. Heinz. She volunteered for many years at the Chambersburg Hospital. Her hobbies included gardening, both vegetable and flowers, collecting dolls, tea cups, H. J. Heinz memorabilia and she enjoyed her grandchildren very much.
She is survived by her husband, Archie H. Lehman of Chambersburg, Pa. They were married April 14, 1945. Also surviving are daughter Julia Hottinger (husband Everette) of Broadway, VA; two sons, Gerald Lehman (wife Joyce), Dale Lehman (wife Diane), both of Chambersburg, Pa. She is survived by 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Lehman; son-in-law Jay Fletcher; her parents; brothers Delbert, Glenn, Huber and Melvin Shetter; sisters Theda Heishman, Savilla Martin; sister-in-laws Alice Lehman and Eva Lehman.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 4, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Marion Mennonite Church, with Chaplains Bob Keener and Vernon Isner officiating. There will be a visitation on Sunday evening, April 3, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Marion Mennonite Church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. James Orten Lehman, 83, a resident of VMRC, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2016.
Jim was born on December 22, 1932 in Wayne County ,Ohio and was the son of the late Willis Albert and Sarean Aldula Amstutz Lehman.
On September 6, 1953, he married the former Dorothy Amstutz who survives. Also surviving are his children: Lynn Lehman and wife Julie, of Stoneville, NC, Orval Lehman of Linville, Gerald Lehman and wife Pam of Dayton, Beverly Baker and husband Chris of Doylestown, PA, and Alan Lehman of Woodstock. Also surviving are grandchildren: Aimee Rosser and husband Chris, Andrea Cox and husband Toby, Bryant Baker and wife Hannah, Seth Lehman and wife Ali, Sara Power and husband Todd, Carissa McDonough and husband Dereck, and Anna Lehman; as well as four great grandchildren.
Also surviving are brothers: Chester and wife Twila, Maurice and wife Carol, John and wife Rozella, Steve and wife Elaine, and sisters: Marjean Lehman, LuAnne Hatter and husband Dennis, brother-in-law Ron Geiser and sister-in-law Ruby Lehman; and many nieces and nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by grandson Elias Lehman and brothers Kenneth, Donovan, and Paul, and sister Bonnie.
A graduate of Eastern Mennonite High School and College, he had a career in teaching and Library Science. He earned a masters degree from Kent State University, was then employed by EMC (now EMU) for 29 years and retired as Director of Libraries in 1998. After retirement he continued to be actively involved at EMU Historical Library/Archives. Throughout his career he researched and wrote 10 Mennonite congregational history books as well as a community history (his first and favorite book), Sonnenberg, A Haven and a Heritage. Additional books include Mennonite Tent Revivals and Mennonites, Amish and The American Civil War (co-authored with Steven M. Nolt). He also contributed to many historical publications and served on numerous historical societies.
Jim and Dorothy enjoyed extensive travel together. They have been long-time active members at Lindale Mennonite Church where they served the Lord in multiple capacities. Jim also volunteered at The International Guest House in Washington DC, Book Savers/Gift & Thrift, and Crossroads Valley Brethren- Mennonite Heritage Center.
Pastors Duane Yoder and Dawn Monger will conduct a memorial service on Saturday, February 13 at 11 a.m. at Lindale Mennonite Church. The family will receive friends on Friday evening February 12 from 6-8 p.m. at the church.

Mabel was a homemaker and a factory worker and a member of Martindale Mennonite Church, Weaverland Conference.

The farm on which he was born has been in his family since 1800. He farmed the land and had a registered herd of Holstein cattle until he retired in 1997. Until three weeks prior to his passing, he was still helping his two sons on the farm. Mahlon had a passion for evangelism and was an active member of Elizabethtown Mennonite Church where he served as a trustee and on the cemetery board.
He was a member of the National and Pennsylvania Holstein Associations, the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau, and was a representative for the Brotherly Aid Liability Plan. In addition to traveling with the 40/60 Group, he enjoyed spending time at the family cabin in Snyder County. For the past 10 years, he volunteered weekly at the Material Center at Mennonite Central Committee.
He is survived by five children, Mary Ann, wife of Glen Sauder, of Winchester, VA, Jean, wife of Eldon Showalter, of Waynesboro, Marilyn, wife of Donald Miller, of Elizabethtown, Gerald, husband of Crystal Geyer Lehman, of Elizabethtown, and Galen, husband of Kim Jacobs Lehman, of Elizabethtown; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by five siblings, Wayne Lehman, Alice Lehman Gall, Ruth Lehman Givens, Glenn Lehman, and Ammon Lehman.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday afternoon, February14, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Elizabethtown Mennonite Church, 300 South Spruce Street, Elizabethtown. Private interment will be in the Elizabethtown Mennonite Cemetery. The family will receive guests at a viewing at the church on Saturday evening from 6-8:00 PM. They will also receive guests on Sunday afternoon from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.

Nola Jean Lehman, 55, of Ligonier passed away Sunday, April 3, 2016 at home. She was born on August 29, 1960 to Melvin and Mary Mullett in LaGrange County. She was a member of The Old Order Amish Church.

Leinbach, Nancy H. Nolt, 54, of Kempton, Lynn Township, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2016, in her residence. She was the wife of Leon H. Leinbach. Born in Ephrata, Lancaster County, she was a daughter of Martin M. Nolt, Ephrata, and the late Lizzie H. (Horning) Nolt. Mrs. Leinbach was a member of Blue Mountain Mennonite Fellowship, New Tripoli. She was a homemaker.

GOSHEN - Jeremy R. Lemarr, 41, died Thursday, Jan. 28, as a result of an auto accident in LaGrange County.
He was born Aug. 26, 1974, in Goshen.
On Sept. 13, 2008, he married Angela Vassar.
She survives along with his parents, Cecil and Janet (Bradley) Lemarr of Goshen; three children, Jeremy Ray Lemarr of Goshen, Zoey Adams of Elkhart and Dezirae Michelle Lemarr of Goshen; and three sisters, Jackie (Dale) Farthing, Carla (Jorge) Munoz and Joan (Emiliano Sr.) Carranza, all of Goshen.
A 1993 graduate of Goshen High School, Jeremy was self-employed. He had been attending College Mennonite Church. Jeremy was amazing and will be loved and missed by everyone.
Services and burial will be at a later date.

ELKHART — LaMar Emerson Loucks, 97, of Elkhart, died 7:25 a.m. Sunday, July 31 at his home. He was born March 18, 1919, in Wakarusa to Oliver & Anna (Weldy) Loucks. He married Vera Mae (Blosser) Loucks on June 24, 1941. They have been married 75 years.
Surviving are his wife and two children: Loren (Brenda) Loucks, Goshen, Lynn (Carol) Loucks, Elkhart; 9 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and two siblings: Kathryn Pletcher, Elkhart and Jim (Sandy) Loucks, Nappanee. Preceding him in death are his parents and siblings, Ruth Miller and Lowell Loucks.
LaMar was a farmer. When he was first married he worked at Wayne Feed Supply and was a herdsman at Elcona Farms. He was a member of Olive Mennonite Church where he served as an usher and steward. LaMar was a charter member of the Baugo Township Fire Department; founder and past-president of the Elkhart County Swine Breeders Association; he served on the Elkhart County SWCD and was Master Farmer in 1994.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret-Lienhart Funeral Home, 117 W. Waterford St., Wakarusa, and one hour prior to the 11 a.m. service Thursday, August 4, at Olive Mennonite Church, 61081 CR 3, Elkhart. Pastors Kevin & Sharon Yoder will officiate. Loucks, LaMar, Emerson, 97, of Elkhart, Elkhart Co., IN died July 31, 2016 at the same place. He was born March 18, 1919 at Wakarusa, Elkhart Co., IN to Oliver and Anna (Weldy) Loucks. On June 24, 1941 he was married to Vera Mae Blosser, who survives. They were married for 75 years.
Surviving are children, Loren (Brenda) Loucks and Lynn (Carol) Loucks; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Kathryn Pletcher and a brother, Jim (Sandra) Loucks.
A sister, Ruth Miller, and a brother, Lowell Loucks preceded him in death.

ELKHART - Lowell K. Loucks, 96, of Elkhart, died at 3:27 p.m. Thursday, July 14, at his home.
He was born June 11, 1920, to Oliver and Anna (Weldy) Loucks.
He married Evelyn F. (Canen) Loucks on June 15, 1941 and she died Oct. 29, 2005.
Surviving are a daughter, Sharon (Tom) Stutsman of Goshen, three grandchildren, Tim (Jill) Stutsman of Goshen, Anna (John) Rassi of Goshen and Alisa (Ryan) Pickering of Elkhart; eight great-grandchildren, Teagan, Erica, Titus, Bridgette Stutsman, Jayden and Wyatt Rassi, Ashley and Devin Pickering; siblings Lamar Loucks of Elkhart, Kathryn Pletcher of Elkhart and Jim Loucks of Nappanee.
Preceding him in death were his parents, wife, Evelyn and a sibling, Ruth Miller.
Lowell was a farmer and a member of the Olive Mennonite Church, where he served as a trustee. He was on the first fire department of Harrison Township. He was on the advisory board for Harrison Township for more than 50 years. He loved fishing and raccoon hunting.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 18, at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret-Lienhart Funeral Home, 117 W.
